National Film Challenge

Here's just a few fotos from the National Film Challenge...I helped DP about 1/4 of the short film...the beginning scene...oh...DP means Director of Photography...which in layman's terms means the camera man...enjoy.

Ironic...and sad...

This past weekend I was helping shoot a short film for the National Film Challenge here in Jacksonville.  I got to the site of shooting a little early.  The site was near an area of town with warehouses and dilapidated buildings - no where near to where I live.  Anyway, a buddy of mine was walking under this underpass thing and found my card laying on the ground.  Apparently, someone stole another person's purse/wallet and threw all their cards and other valueless items on the ground ...and ironically my card was a part of the mess...it's kind of sad, b/c I probably handed my card to this person...I hope my cards aren't objects of misfortune...and I hope this person didn't have anything too valuable in their purse/wallet.

Surviving...

Wow...it's been a short while since I have updated my blog...which is a testament to how crazy my life has been the last 3 or so weeks...this has been a testing time...and it all started on my way to the Panhandle when my truck broke down and I was stranded extra days in a hotel...renting a car...eating out...and missing valuable family time (next time I will rent a car).

But it's also been comical...I have been rationing my contact fluid...just bought toothpaste with coins...and I have never eaten so much rice in my life...and I've eaten quite a bit...

For a moment I lost my program that I use to process my fotos...the company wouldn't switch over the program from the PC onto to my new Mac...but thank God for mothers....she sent me a gift ($), so I was able to purchase the program for my Mac and keep working efficiently on my fotos!

I went 3 nights with only 9 hours of combined sleep...not really good for ones health...

But, things seem to be going towards the positive...my new program is up and running...I'm working on fotos again...I'm getting a little bit more sleep...I keep getting calls for more gigs...things are looking good now...ah...and just a few more days of rice and then we should be able to afford TOFU!!!

This weekend I had the honor to fotograph Andrea & Carlos' wedding on the beach in Ponte Vedra.  It was a beautiful wedding...and the rain held off!  Here's a few fotos...I hope you all enjoy!

Cure for the Economic Crisis!

So with this Economic Crisis we're experiencing, I figured I had to bail myself out...


OK, not really...my wife, Rana, found this drink at Native Sun (the best health food store) and the rest is history...I should get some form of royalties from this company for using my last name!

Again...this is just a joke...I mean, if you want to donate $6,000 dollars to me, my credit card would really like that...but I don't have any "get rich quick" schemes...just a joke!
